Opposites collide?

Daily: Snake, Dog

Hmm. This looks a bit funny. These two cards can have opposite meanings, enemy/friend, untrustworthy/trustworthy, betrayal/loyalty… Not sure what to make of it, really. ‘Untrustworthy friend’ could be one. But it doesn’t feel right. Roundabout ways to reaching a worthy goal is more what I get from this today. Or two opposites coming to a head, contrast. Also, a friend in trouble. Lies or ‘less than truths’ relating to someone close to me. A woman (Snake)? Overall it makes me think I need to be careful today and examine my motives and the moral aspects of any moves I make, especially making sure I’m honest with my partner. Also being on guard in case someone tries to put one over me.

Update: Well, Lorielle was right. I was asked/tempted by a friend to do something and I did say yes, though was tempted to say no for no particularly good reason. Also, I figured out another way in which applies to yesterday and not a very nice one. I had made a promise that I didn’t keep and was unfaithful. To myself! The irony ;) Temptation is one meaning I never think of and I really should, since I’m so prone to succumbing whenever it comes along.

Second update: It only hit me a week later. It was about an unfaithful friend and unfortunately that friend was me :( Too caught up in my own problems, I completely ignored a good friend that was in town and facing a big and important day. Funny how we never want to see our own unflattering side…

With the Snake I can’t help but think of “temptation” probably because of the whole Adam and Eve snake apple thing. :) So maybe you’ll find yourself tempted in some way, shape, or form to do, be or say something by, to or for a friend. :) Pretty wide, I know. :)

Thanks Lorielle. You’re actually right on the mark there, and it’s not something I would have thought of! I’ve updated the entry,
